Another stealth tax

I’ve just discovered another stealth tax. Ok this one does not directly go to the government but instead goes directly to the person who does the laundry in your household. Your wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend/android is pocketing a percentage of your lose change from dirty washing that you have thoughtfully hung on the floor 2 feet away from the laundry basket.

I caught my girlfriend making a DWT deduction this morning, she calls it the Sarah washing fund, I call it another reason I can’t afford a G5 Power Mac or diamonds for the soles of my shoes.

How much are YOU getting taxed? How long has this been going on? Are there any tax breaks if we manage to put our laundry in the basket. (Yeah.. who is going to do that!)

Quote from the girlfriend in question.
I wont hold onto notes, that’s like an unwritten rule, but up to about £2 worth of change is the current rate*.

So apparently I can pay up to £2 per load in Dirty Washing Tax. I’m not sure what tax bracket that puts me in but it seems like a pretty reasonable one, I get a good service, my clothes always magically appear on hangers in my wardrobe smelling like fresh daises and 8 times out of ten remain the same size and colour as the day I bought them.

*This rate may change without warning or reason. Your side of the bed maybe at risk if you do not keep up payments.

LOL! That certainly explains a few things around here…

Here’s a tip, and it’s a free one! Take all the loose change out before throwing it on the dirty pile. Better yet, keep all your change in your wallet!

Haha, that would explain why I seem to be poorer after my washings done, but what would a washing machine do with £2??

    Hi there

I’ve just visited your website – I really like the design.

I want to set up a new weblog. Rather than use blogger of typepad – I want a bespoke design that will be easy for me to update etc.

I was wondering if I could have a quote for a weblog, from scratch. Design, domain and all the coding work etc.

    Thanks
